If you need to book a table at restaurants we will be glad to help you. Here below are our favorites. We strongly recommend to make a reservation in good timing since all these restaurants are very popular and more and less always fully booked.
Our most favorite restaurant is just on the ground floor, called KOL, dont miss that one www.kolrestaurant.is/en/. Our guest gets 20% discount of theirs popular set menus. Good selection of delicious steaks, awesome salmon, amazing deserts and cocktails, try donkey and winter sour if it is available.
At KOL you also find the best brunch in town on weekends. Always fully booked so make a reservation in good time.

Also a big favorite, the next corners place ROK, great place to share small dishes, tapas place, everything is good there, don´t miss the reindeer. www.rokrestaurant.is/ casual and comfortable atmosphere.

Further down the street Frakkastígur you find the bakery called BRAUÐ & CO www.braudogco.is very good to pick up some there. Very good new sourdough bread and delicious buns
Salka Valka – we love going there for lunch for theirs delicious fish soup and our guests have also 20% discount there with a special card
Kaffi LOKI. Traditional food. Breakfast and lunch. Nice to sit down and enjoy the view to Hallgrímskirkja Church www.loki.is we can get you 20% discount card here as well
On Laugarvegur the main shopping street you will find our favorite Pizza and Pasta restaurant ITALÍA www.italia.is I recommend to book a table if you are going for pizza 552 4630
Also a great pizza both to take a way and seat in is our favorite REYKJAVIK PIZZERIA which is very close to our apartment only few minutes away on the corner of Bragagata and Freyjugata https://www.reykjavikpizzeria.is/ For take away they offer 15% discount if you order from the webpage.
Walking up our street you will see many nice icelandic stores, restaurants, coffee like the oldest on called MOKKA Kaffi, I suggest you try it, placed where all the old art masters and many important icelanders used to stay.

For more lighter street food perhaps for lunch you can walk up the main street Laugarvegur where you will find Noodle Station, asian soup very good one and a little bit further a very popular food court place called HLEMMUR mathöll where you will find many places together on one spot
On the old harbor if you go there for example for whale watching then don´t miss the best burger in town or even the world (placed also in London, Berlin, Copenhagen on more) the Icelandic concept BULLAN (Tommy‘s burger joint) www.bullan.is must if you want great burger
CAR PARKING

Just a steps away or by the church and the streets around there are a lot of FREE PARKING. I find very often free parking around here
GROCERIES
Our favorite groceries within few minutes walk is KRÓNAN where you find all you need at good prices. click here for the location
